About the role
1. Carry out Service / Repairs and commissioning on a wide range of Draeger equipment as directed by Senior Technician/ Engineering Supervisor.
2. Ensure required turnaround time are achieved for all repairs.
3. Complete all product and process training as directed by Engineering Supervisor.
4. Completion of all mandatory technical processes relating to the repairs.
5. Correct input of all data into test certificates / calibration certificates / databases.
6. Preparation of technical repair reports as required by the customer.
7. Expectations are that customer contact will be required.
8. Completion of all service orders to ensure accurate quotation and invoice creation.
9. Ensure material requirements are entered on to the service order accurately.
10. Ensure correct handling of spare parts to maintain stock accuracy.
11. Compliance with Health & Safety requirements within the workshop always.
12. Ensure housekeeping is maintained to a high level at all times.
13. Take a proactive approach to improving workshop efficiency and safety.
14. Understand and adhere to COSHH requirements within workshop.
15. Awareness of risk assessments for individual tasks within the workshop.
16. Correct handling of all tooling, ensuring calibration dates are valid where applicable.
17. Ensure safe handling of compressed gas cylinders.
18. Flexible approach to other repair orientated tasks as required.
19. Assist with occasional field work when required.

Reporting Relationships
Manager - Engineering Supervisor
Size of team/environment - Working directly with a team of 4 other repair technicians within a wider team of 26 people that form the Service Department in Blyth.
Your Qualifications
Role Requirements
Education/Qualifications
Minimum - HNC Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
Related Experience
Experience of working within an electronic repairs environment.
Skills, Special Competencies
Essential:
PC skills with good knowledge of MS Office applications.
Good communications skills in English Language (Written and Verbal).
Customer focus with a positive attitude towards solving customer problems.
Ability to communicate clearly with both internal and external customers.
Confident and able to work effectively under own initiative and as part of a team.
Desirable:
SAP experience.
