LET’S CUT STRAIGHT TO IT
We’re looking for a Strategic Asset Manager – Permitting to provide expert guidance across wastewater and clean water permitting, supporting AMP delivery and driving innovative, data-led design solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Act as subject matter expert on permitting requirements for wastewater and clean water projects
2. Lead technical modelling and permit limit setting using Monte Carlo simulations
3. Build strong relationships with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders
4. Manage EA pre-applications and technical discussions
5. Develop SOPs and enable self-serve capabilities across teams
6. Support WINEP sign-off and dynamic permitting initiatives
7. Participate in Communities of Practice to drive continuous improvement
You'll be based at our Head Office in Coventry. You’ll work within our Asset Strategy team. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us hours a week.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
About You:
8. Proven experience in wastewater and sludge treatment design
9. Strong knowledge of environmental permits, EMS, and CDM regulations
10. Skilled in modelling, flow calculations, and process investigations
11. Excellent communication, planning, and project management skills
12. Ability to challenge constructively and collaborate effectively
13. Have an Engineering background
Qualifications:
14. Essential: Degree in Science/Engineering and a full UK driving licence
15. Desirable: Professional accreditation ( ICE, CIWEM), BTEC Sewage Treatment or CIWEM Certificate, IOSH or equivalent safety qualification
