Responsibilities Designing and delivering dynamic and interactive drama lessons that align with the curriculum. Encouraging students to explore their creativity, build confidence, and develop excellent communication skills through drama activities. Organizing and directing school productions, including rehearsals and performances, and fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for all participants. Assessing students' progress and providing constructive feedback to help them refine their performance techniques. Collaborating with colleagues to create cross-curricular projects that integrate drama with other subjects, fostering interdisciplinary learning. Planning and leading workshops and extracurricular activities to further engage students with drama outside of regular lessons. Keeping up-to-date with the latest developments in drama education and using innovative teaching methodologies to enhance learning outcomes. Requirements A bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification. Proven experience teaching drama to students at the primary or secondary level. Strong knowledge of the national curriculum for drama, as well as assessment strategies and standards. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment. Creative and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to tailor lessons to different learning styles and abilities. Enthusiasm for the arts and a passion for nurturing students' performance skills and love for drama.
