A leading UK-based provider of industrial refrigeration services is seeking a qualified Refrigeration Engineer to join their East Anglia team. With over 50 years in operation and a strong national presence, the company supports clients across the full lifecycle-from design and installation to maintenance and ongoing support.

The Role
This is a maintenance-focused, field-based role working on ammonia-based industrial refrigeration systems at customer sites across East Anglia.
While experience with ammonia systems is highly desirable, applications are welcome from engineers with strong commercial refrigeration backgrounds who can demonstrate solid technical knowledge and a willingness to upskill.
The position includes access to a structured training and development programme with clearly defined pay progression, regular reviews, and support from both local management and a national training team.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on ammonia-based refrigeration systems
Diagnose faults and perform repairs in accordance with industry and company standards
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site-specific requirements
Maintain positive, professional relationships with clients through effective communication
Identify opportunities to improve system reliability, efficiency, and safety
Participate in the regional standby rota and occasional weekend work
Engage in ongoing technical development and training
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £35,000 - £65,000 depending on grading and experience
Additional Earnings: 10-20% average uplift through standby and weekend work

Candidate Requirements
Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems (or strong willingness to train in this area)
F-Gas certification (essential)
Industrial or commercial refrigeration background
Full UK driving licence
Strong understanding of compliance and health & safety procedures
Excellent communication and customer service skills
