Plate perpetration, using different methods (Oxy – fuel gas cutting & Hand Grinding), pressure testing, drilling & lock fitting) Fit, fair and tack weld steelwork Reading and interpreting engineering drawings. Operating various tools and machinery. Assembling the parts into a structure, usually by welding it, but sometimes using bolts and rivets Finishing off the assembly, using tools like grinders and polishers to smooth the surface Ensuring high-quality standards are met. Following health and safety protocols What our client is looking for in a Fabricator Welder : City & Guilds/NVQ or equivalent in fabrication or welding / Plating Proven expertise in fabrication and welding. ESSENTIAL Proven experience in the Marine / Nuclear / Steel fabrication / Off-shore / Petro-chemical or Construction industries - ESSENTIAL Previous experience with Heavy Gauge Fabrication/ Plating work - ESSENTIAL Significant experience in structural steel fabrication - BENEFICIAL Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
