Job Description
Canon is in a phase of rapid expansion, and we are looking for a driven, self-motivated, and commercially astute Account Manager to join our dynamic Production Printing team. As we continue to accelerate our growth, we are seeking an industry-experienced professional with strong Graphic Arts knowledge who can help shape the future of commercial printing.
Canon's expansive production printing portfolio spans leading-edge toner and innovative inkjet technologies and is recognised as a powerful alternative to traditional lithographic methods. Backed by significant investment in research and development, our solutions continue to lead the market, driven by our commitment to technology, people, and long-term partnerships with print manufacturers.
Our growth strategy is built on delivering market-leading technology and exceptional service that create measurable commercial value for our customers.
As an Account Manager within Canon's Production Printing business, you will play a pivotal role in developing strategic relationships across the Graphic Arts Print sector. This role requires a high-activity, self-starting individual who takes full ownership of their territory and consistently drives new opportunities.
You will engage directly with business owners, Managing Directors, CEOs, CFOs, and Production Directors, leading strategic discussions around capital investment, production efficiency, and business growth. Your ability to combine strong technical knowledge (offset and digital) with compelling commercial business cases will be central to your success.
Travel across the UK and Europe will be required, including visits to Canon's production print facilities in the Netherlands.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain strategic relationships within the Graphic Arts sector, identifying new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
Build trusted advisor relationships at owner and C-suite level within both new and existing Canon customer accounts.
Maintain high levels of sales activity, prospecting, and pipeline development to drive sustained territory growth.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of commercial print business models, including margin pressures, utilisation, workflow efficiency, and investment drivers.
Lead strategic conversations on how Canon's digital production technologies can complement or replace traditional offset processes.
Apply strong technical knowledge of offset lithography, digital toner, inkjet production, finishing solutions, and workflow automation in customer discussions.
Develop and present robust financial justifications, including ROI and cost-per-sheet analysis.
Accurately forecast revenue, gross margin, solutions, and units on a monthly and quarterly basis to meet financial targets.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of account activity within Salesforce (SFDC).
Lead and coordinate virtual teams to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder production print solutions
Qualifications
A highly self-motivated, proactive self-starter with strong territory ownership and accountability.
Proven track record of securing high-value capital equipment contracts within the Graphic Arts Print sector.
In-depth knowledge of commercial print operations, including offset lithographic processes and digital production technologies.
Strong technical understanding of toner, inkjet, workflow, and finishing environments across both offset and digital production.
Experience dealing directly with business owners and C-level executives.
Strong account planning capability and strategic business development skills.
High levels of daily sales activity and pipeline discipline.
