Breakfast Club Assistant 2 days, 2 hours per week (Tuesday and Thursday 7.30am – 8.30am) Salary - Surrey PS3Barnett Wood Infant School is a popular school providing excellent Learning opportunities for our children. We pride ourselves in working in partnership with our parents so that each child can fulfil their potential across all areas of the curriculum. JOB OVERVIEW An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to assist with the wrap around care at Barnett Wood Infant School, which provides a safe and caring environment where children can enjoy a range of play and learning activities. This role is varied, and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities. There is also potential for candidates to help in our After School Club (see separate advert). JOB REQUIREMENTS: • Implement play programs that develop learning and social skills. • Provide a varied safe and stimulating play environment both indoors and outdoors. • Prepare nutritional snacks for the children; ensure that snack times are a time of pleasant social sharing and orderly. • Ensure that children’s medical, allergy and dietary requirements are met. • Be vigilant about safety and make sure children are collected by a designated adult. • Uphold the high standards of the Club at all times. THE RIGHT CANDIDATE WILL HAVE: • GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4 or above. • Previous experience or childcare experience. • A proven ability to work on their own initiative • A high level of communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults. • The ability to use relevant technology/equipment. • A can-do attitude. • A commitment to the happiness well-being, self-esteem and progress of everyone at the school.Find out more about this exciting opportunity by visiting our career page and school website.
