Job Description:
We are looking for a wide range of High Speed Digital Electronics Engineers at various levels to join Leonardo in Newcastle.
As a Digital Electronics Engineer, you will be responsible for:
* Designing high-speed digital Printed Circuit Boards utilizing the latest FPGA, Microprocessor, and high-speed interconnect technologies.
* Supporting the full hardware lifecycle from requirements analysis, design, unit testing, to system integration, acceptance testing, and delivery.
* Documenting work products and managing configuration control, along with providing plans and progress reports.
* Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to solve complex system integration problems.
* Analyzing system-level requirements and applying them to hardware design.
* Creating schematics and designing high-speed serial communication links, understanding related protocols and architectures.
* Hands-on hardware, firmware, and software integration of microprocessor-based designs.
* Following a structured hardware design process throughout the full lifecycle.
* Debugging, testing, verifying new designs, and supporting their commissioning and integration.
* Liaising with suppliers of key components and assemblies.
* Communicating effectively across disciplines, both verbally and in writing.
* Working independently or as part of a team to resolve technical issues.
* Managing work schedules to meet project timelines and budgets.
