Brava Education is working with a secondary school in the East Midlands seeking an experienced Interim Assistant Headteacher to lead on behaviour and pastoral development.
This is a hands-on senior leadership brief. The school is continuing its improvement journey and is looking for a strong, visible leader who can embed consistency, strengthen pastoral systems and support staff ahead of inspection.
The Role
* Lead on behaviour strategy and pastoral consistency across KS3 and KS4
* Coach and mentor non-teaching Heads of Department
* Work closely with the Deputy Head (line manager) and Headteacher
* Use data systems confidently to drive improvement in behaviour and achievement
* Be a visible presence around school, building credibility and relationships quickly
* Embed sustainable systems that demonstrate clear impact
Teaching is expected as part of the role, though the timetable can be flexible depending on subject and experience. The leadership skills are the primary focus of the role.
We are keen to hear from:
* Experienced Assistant Headteachers with a strong behaviour portfolio
* Deputy Headteachers or senior leaders comfortable operating at AHT level
* Leaders with a proven track record of improving behaviour and pastoral standards
* Individuals confident analysing and using school data to inform action
