Duties & Responsibilities
* Demonstrate safety awareness and ownership. Ensure employees under their supervision have the necessary training and equipment to safely perform assigned duties. Health & Safety Qualifications NEBOSH or equivalent
* Coordinate activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements
* Supervise the incoming waste stream and processing area to ensure no unauthorised waste is received
* Responsible for the production and planning of daily recycling operations
* Communicate with all relevant employees to ensure deliveries are met
* Plan schedules and review workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
* Supervise and provide training and instruction for all staff
* Manage the stock control, and check that stock levels are within the environmental permit and restrictions
* Monitor and analyse product/recycled fibre on a regular basis to ensure the material is within specification
* Ensure the production team has enough time to manufacture and deliver products
* Create a detailed schedule based on strict deadlines
* Conduct and document regular training & safety meetings and toolbox talks with assigned employees
* Communicate any charges in the order of delivery date to relevant parties
* Monitor production standards
* Inspect and perform routine daily maintenance on industrial equipment assigned to the plant, including loading shovels and processing equipment and keep records
* Purchase materials and services required for production
* Ensure the site complies with the environmental permit and fire prevention plan
* Will be required to work overtime, weekends and during emergency conditions when required
