An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Prosthetist to cover maternity leave until 31.08.2027. The successful applicant will work with highly experienced Prosthetists and develop their skills in a specialist Prosthetics centre.
Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate the provision of safe, high-quality care and ensure prosthetic prescriptions for adults and children following limb loss are suitable and cost-effective.
* Provide high-quality, specialist lifelong prosthetics care to patients with amputation and congenital limb loss in a clinical environment.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, deliver evidence-based care, and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
* Manage a prosthetic caseload within the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and British Association of Prosthetists and Orthotists (BAPO) professional guidelines and standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Adherence to HCPC and BAPO professional guidelines and standards.
* Ability to work within a tertiary prosthetic centre and with a diverse caseload of adults and children.
* Strong assessment, prescription, and fitting skills for upper and lower limb prosthetics.
