Reception Teaching Assistant
Location: Northfield, Birmingham, B31
Weekly Pay: £500 - £525
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (term time only)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Long-term (Temp-to-Perm)Long Term Futures is seeking a Reception Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Northfield. This role involves working 1:1 with a child with SEMH and behavioural needs, alongside supporting whole-class learning, delivering small group interventions, and leading phonics sessions using Little Wandle and other phonics programmes.
This is a long-term opportunity until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting a pupil 1:1 with SEMH and behavioural needs
Supporting whole-class teaching and learning
Delivering targeted small group interventions
Leading phonics sessions (Little Wandle and other phonics programmes)
Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SENWhat the School is Looking For:
Qualifications: Level 2 or 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (or equivalent)
Experience: Minimum of 1 year working in a primary setting
Skills: Experience supporting SEMH and behaviour, delivering phonics and leading interventions
Knowledge: Strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum & phonics programmes (desirable)About the School:
