We are growing our team of talented and solution focused Employee Relations specialists who support managers to make Mitie a Great Place to Work by advising and coaching on ER cases, upholding fair policies in line with legislation and best practice, while balancing risk and commerciality to deliver the best results for the business. This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham, normally 1 day per week in the office, with flexible patterns possible as part of our commitment to work/life balance.
Join our dedicated People Team and help deliver high-quality ER support through the latest technologies, including Mitie\'s case management system, while collaborating with the wider HR team and senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
* Own your own caseload of complex ER issues, applying knowledge of ER and employment law to deliver high-quality service
* Utilise Mitie\'s case management system to remotely deliver services
* Build relationships with the wider HR team and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business
* Conduct ER policy and process reviews and make recommendations for improvement, driving the implementation of enhanced services, policies, and procedures
What we are looking for
We are seeking passionate HR/ER professionals with good knowledge of ER Policy and Employment Law, able to manage a varied caseload. Experience in a HR Shared Service Centre environment is desirable. You should be a people-focused individual who can deliver a positive, confidential experience, and be curious in approach to coaching and advising managers. Ideally, you will hold a CIPD qualification at Levels 3, 5 or 7; we can support further study if you wish to continue training.
* Knowledge of ER policy and employment law; ability to manage a varied case load
* Experience in a HR Shared Service Centre environment is desirable
* Strong interpersonal skills with respect and confidentiality
* Ability to coach and provide accurate ER advice to managers
* CIPD qualification (Levels 3, 5 or 7) preferred; training support available
