Town/City: East Midlands (Notts, Leics, Derbys)
They say honesty is the best policy. But not every firm gets the memo.
Whether it’s promises of clients that don't exist, promises of support that isn’t there, or OTE figures seemingly plucked out of thin air, it’s hard to trust a company when what they’ve told you at interview doesn’t match up with reality.
This business is different.
Clients? They have them. Lots of them. You'll inherit a client book and £110,000 of ongoing fees, with no validation and a 15% production bonus.
And you get to advise them on an independent basis, which is increasingly rare nowadays.
Income? You’ll start with approximately £40,000, but with bonuses and ongoing fees, your effective earnings could reach around £61,700, excluding any new business.
Support? You'll have someone to handle valuations and schedule meetings/reviews, and support for queries related to client systems. Paraplanning support is not standard but is being developed with the hiring of a new paraplanner.
The firm has invested in compliance, customer service, and paraplanning to improve their offerings.
You’ll have a dedicated manager who provides light-touch oversight but is present when needed. An extensive induction (expensed) and good support from the client care team are included. Remote working is supported, but you won’t feel isolated.
Benefits include:
* Monthly mileage claims for client visits at 0.19p per mile
* Company mobile phone and laptop
* 33 days holiday (including Bank Holidays)
* Paid Christmas shutdown (typically 3 days between Boxing Day and New Year’s)
* Enhanced bereavement leave policy
* Death in Service benefit: 3x salary or £100k, whichever is greater
* Profit share scheme (around 4% of basic salary as a bonus)
* UNUM wellbeing app with discounts and access to GP, legal advice, counselling
Clients are spread throughout the East Midlands, so living in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, or Derbyshire is ideal.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
You should be a level 4 qualified financial planner (IFA or restricted). You need CAS and at least 2 years of experience as an adviser.
You’ll enjoy working in an empowered, self-starting environment with solid technical knowledge, especially in pensions and investments.
