Credit Controller Roles & Responsibilities
As a Credit Controller, you will join the finance team and take responsibility for managing accounts receivable balances. This role focuses on maintaining accurate customer accounts, clearing outstanding balances and ensuring effective credit control processes. A strong understanding of customer relationships and internal processes will be essential to successfully manage credit risk and cash collection.
Credit Controller Key Accountabilities
Responsible for the accuracy of accounts receivable balances for 200+ customers, operating in both GBP and EUR
Manage the clearing and reconciliation of customer accounts
Proactively manage overdue balances
Monitor and manage customer credit limits
Prepare and complete the weekly credit control report using SAP and Excel
Maintain regular contact with customers regarding overdue debt or credit limit breaches
Review financially blocked orders and work with customers to resolve issues
Report high-risk accounts to the credit insurer in line with service level agreements
Work closely with Sales and Asset teams to secure payment while minimising disruption to supply
Provide regular reporting to the wider finance function
Credit Controller Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 years experience in Credit Control, ideally including account clearing
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience using SAP (desirable)
Strong Microsoft Office skills, with intermediate Excel capability essential
Experience within logistics or supply chain environments (desirable)

Salary: up to £30k (DOE)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 17:00
