Data Center Operations designs, installs, and maintains the world's largest cloud infrastructure. We are looking for a skilled Data Centre Linux & HW Engineer at Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) who is passionate about technology and eager to help expand AWS Cloud offerings.

The Data Centre Linux & HW Engineer at ADSIPL may serve as the primary contact for internal teams (Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Database Engineers, Technical Operations) and external partners (Hardware Vendors, Contractors, Service Providers).
Key job responsibilities
1. You will be part of the Operations team, responsible for maintaining and supporting data center infrastructure.
2. Your duties include server rack installation, hardware troubleshooting, network issue resolution, and responding to operational emergencies.
3. You may act as the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders.
4. You will handle trouble tickets, perform hardware troubleshooting, and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
5. You will engage in team meetings for metric analysis and goal achievement.
6. You must understand and apply safety and security policies and procedures.
7. You will contribute to documentation and process improvements based on root cause analysis.
8. More experienced technicians may train less experienced team members.
9. This role involves physical activity, including lifting equipment up to 20kg and working in confined or elevated spaces, following health and safety guidelines.
10. The position requires working in a 24x7 shift rotation.

Minimum requirements include:
* 2+ years of experience in computer hardware troubleshooting and repair
* 1+ years of experience in computer networking
* High school diploma or equivalent
Additional preferred qualifications:
* Experience in customer interaction during problem resolution and working under pressure
* 1+ years of data center experience
* Experience with network equipment installation and configuration
