Clinical Support Worker
North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Band 3 Healthcare Assistant to provide high‑standard care in Ward 3, a 16‑bed stroke and neuro‑rehabilitation department.
Job Summary
Ward 3 offers a caring and friendly environment delivering specialist stroke care to patients in the acute and rehabilitation phases, and neuro‑rehabilitation for head injury survivors. The successful applicant will support nursing staff, assist with clinical duties, and help maintain a holistic person‑centred approach.
Responsibilities
* Assist nursing staff with routine and clinical tasks, including mobilising patients, monitoring vital signs, and recording observations.
* Support multidisciplinary teams of nurses, medics, and therapists to deliver individualized stroke care.
* Lead by example, supervise junior team members, and uphold high standards of care.
* Work collaboratively within a team, demonstrating resilience, adaptability, and a pro‑active attitude.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Level 3 vocational qualification or equivalent knowledge in patient and clinical care duties.
* Experience working in health or social care, including recording clinical observations and escalating findings.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, data protection legislation, and health and safety at work.
* Numeracy and literacy level 2.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
* Undertaken additional training for Clinical Support Workers.
* Computer skills and familiarity with NHS policies.
* Experience working in the Trust previously.
