As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll guide students aged 11–16, deliver pre-prepared lessons, and ensure a positive, productive atmosphere in the absence of teaching staff. You’ll help maintain momentum in learning while developing your own skills and understanding of school life—ideal preparation for a future teaching career.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supervising classes and delivering set lesson plans
* Maintaining a calm, focused, and engaging learning environment
* Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
* Supporting students with additional or special educational needs where required
* Acting as a positive role model and trusted adult for learners
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with secondary-aged students (school, youth work, tutoring, mentoring etc.)
* Confidence working independently in a classroom setting
* Ability to support students with additional learning needs (SEN experience an advantage)
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive rapport
* Genuine enthusiasm for supporting young people and helping them succeed
