We have an outstanding opportunity for a Principal Offshore Structural Engineer to join our rapidly expanding UK team.
Your purpose:
* Coordinate the delivery of our global offshore projects from conceptual to detailed design stages, focusing on offshore wind farm development or asset management, and develop innovative solutions.
* Provide effective leadership to a small team of offshore structural engineers, ensuring work packages meet customer requirements and industry standards.
* Design and analyze fixed and floating offshore structures, contributing to the offshore renewables sector and climate change mitigation efforts.
What you can bring:
* Lead projects or collaborate with lead engineers to ensure successful, timely, and budgeted project delivery, including structural analysis and design of foundations, meteorological masts, and substations.
* Expertise in monopiles, jackets, or floating systems, using analysis techniques like pile-soil interaction, PISA, and dynamic loading analysis.
* Provide leadership, fostering innovation within a multidisciplinary team.
* Ensure all design work complies with procedures and quality plans, with accountability for work packages. Chartered engineer with offshore steel design experience, preferably in wind turbine foundations or substations.
* Experience in offshore wind farm foundation design, familiarity with industry standards, and proficiency in software such as ANSYS, SESAM, SACs, or STAADPRO.
* Solid theoretical knowledge supported by practical experience in transportation, installation, and environmental loading design.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, adaptable to diverse environments.
* Proactive, eager to learn, assertive in technical presentations, and capable of mentoring junior engineers.
