Role – Allocation Officer (Homelessness)Location - GCHSCP, 2 Green Wynd, Glasgow, G40 2TD Hours - 13.5 hrs working Thursday and Friday Contract Status - Permanent Are you interested in working for the largest local authority in Scotland, in partnership with the NHS, to help improve the health and wellbeing of our community? At Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP), we aim to prevent homelessness, provide emergency support and help individuals secure long term accommodation. An opportunity has arisen for an Allocation Officer to support the Temporary Accommodation Allocation Team within Homelessness Services. Allocation Officers work in a small team co-ordinating and prioritising referrals for homeless accommodation. You will work with a variety of agencies and make decisions on all aspects of allocations using sound judgement. Duties will include: • Monitoring all referrals and risk assessments • Preparation of management information on the supply and demand of temporary accommodation • Ensuring that allocations are made in fair and consistent manner Working knowledge of the legislation and guidance of homelessness is desirable as is awareness of the complex needs of service users and an appreciation of relevant legislation and Code of Guidance. These roles are excepted under Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order (as amended). Interviews will likely take place week commencing 6th October.
