Your Role and Responsibilities
As a SEND Teacher, you will:
* Teach small bespoke class groups of up to 6 pupils, supported by a Teaching Assistant.
* Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that cater to a range of abilities.
* Assess, monitor, and report on the learning needs and progress of your pupils.
* Adapt your teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners with SEND.
* Set high standards that inspire and motivate students to achieve their best.
* Participate in preparing learners for external tests across KS3/KS4.
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
* Successful teaching experience, particularly in delivering qualifications up to GCSE.
* Experience in teaching Humanities, PE, or vocational subjects is preferred.
* A solid understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
* The ability to build strong relationships with pupils and adapt teaching to their needs.
* Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.
* Good ICT skills to enhance learning experiences.
