Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker Location: Kendal Salary: £32,000 – £38,880 (based on 160 hours 11 sleeps per month) Hourly Rate: £14.00 – £15.50 Working Hours / Shift Pattern: 8am – 11pm; 1 on 2 off rolling shift pattern (may vary) Employment Type: Permanent Sleep-ins: Required on a rota basis, £60 per sleep Service: Children’s Residential Home Service Users: Children & Young People Qualifications Required: Relevant childcare qualification desirable Experience Required: Experience working with children and young people in a residential setting, including those presenting challenging behaviours The Home: Our client provides a structured, safe, and nurturing environment where children and young people are supported through a therapeutic and integrated approach. The home focuses on promoting positive outcomes, emotional well-being, and development through consistent care and strong professional relationships. Number of beds: Ofsted rating: Who we are looking for: Our client is seeking a committed and experienced Lead Practitioner who is passionate about delivering high-quality care. You will play a key role in supporting the management team, leading by example, and developing junior staff while ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently met. You will be confident in managing challenging behaviours, contributing to care planning, and working collaboratively with internal teams and external professionals. Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills are essential.
