About Our Client
Our client is a well respected organisation operating within the Legal sector. They have a strong PMO of 9 employees, and are looking for an IT Project Manager to join the team. They operate on a hybrid basis (1-2 days/week in office in Central London).
Job Description
Management
3. Prepare business cases as required to support needed initiatives and related investment
4. Direct, manage and deliver business-critical projects across the organisation to meet business needs
5. Define project scope, goals and deliverables to support project business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders, and manage their delivery
6. Gain a comprehensive grasp of all related strategic project issues to ensure project management tools are applied to optimum effect
7. Develop project documentation, including project plans and associated communication documents and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
8. Record issues, risks and changes and monitor their ongoing management to enable successful delivery of projects
9. Prioritise business requirements to develop a pipeline for continuous improvement
10. Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure they are informed and supportive of projects
11. Task external contractors and measure and report on performance to ensure projects are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner
12. Estimate resources and participants required to achieve project goals
13. Draft, submit and manage project budgets as required to deliver projects
14. Create and devise solutions to complex problems to ensure business needs are met
15. Trouble shoot and solve problems as and when they occur during projects
16. Prepare project statistics and reports to allow monitoring of performance of projects
17. Lead post project evaluations and present the findings as required
Support
18. Support all projects and the wider programme in line with best practice
19. Maintain a thorough understanding of the project, programme and portfolio to enable an effective and informed first point of contact for all internal and external stakeholders
The Successful Applicant
20. Degree level or equivalent qualification/experience
21. Prior experience working in the Legal sector, or a highly regulated environment
22. Track record of change management and project delivery within a professional services culture, including IS-enabled business projects
23. Demonstrable experience of budget management and working with stakeholders to produce meaningful and measurable business cases
24. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and able to converse at all levels within an organisation, from technical specialists to senior management
25. Demonstrable experience in managing and progressing complex pieces of work
26. Demonstrable practical and theoretical knowledge of using project management tools such as PRINCE2
27. Strong experience in project management or project administration
28. Demonstrable experience of delivering objectives and targets to timescales
29. Experience of contributing proactively to change management processes
30. Demonstrable experience of performance monitoring, evaluation, audit and quality assurance processes
