Job Opportunity: AP Associate (Temporary - 6 Months)
Department: Finance - Accounts Payable
Salary: £26,000 per annum (Pro Rata)
Working Hours: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm | Friday 8am-12pm
Nelipak, a leader in healthcare packaging, is seeking a temporary Accounts Payable Associate to support their Winston-Salem site. This role is part of our dynamic Flexibles Finance Team, which includes Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger Accounting, and Trade Compliance.
Reporting directly to the AP Team Lead, you will play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and supporting customer master data activities.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accurately enter vendor invoices into ERP systems and assign to the correct general ledger accounts.
2. Ensure compliance with AP policies to maintain financial accuracy.
3. Collaborate with Procurement to resolve blocked invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
4. Analyse and resolve issues related to blocked or parked invoices.
5. Prepare supplier reconciliations and monthly accruals in line with month-end processes.
6. Review and resolve GRIR (Goods Received/Invoice Received) issues in coordination with local accountants.
7. Execute invoice approval workflows to optimise discount opportunities.
8. Support Master Data activities related to customer account setup and maintenance.
9. Proactively identify and implement process improvements to reduce discrepancies and improve AP efficiency.
10. Assist with ad hoc projects and other finance-related duties as required.
About You:
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
12. Strong communicator, able to liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
13. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
14. A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently and drive results.
