Accounts Assistant Location: Fowlmere, Cambridgeshire (Onsite) Salary: £28,000–£32,000 Type: Full-time, Permanent A well-established and growing technology manufacturer is seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join its finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role offers broad exposure across transactional finance within a supportive and collaborative environment. The Role You will play a key part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the accounts function, supporting credit control, purchase ledger, sales invoicing, and reconciliations. The role offers scope to get involved in month-end activities and audit preparation depending on experience. Key Responsibilities * Credit control and setting credit limits * Processing sales invoices and dispatch documentation * Managing payment runs and allocating payments * Processing expenses and credit card claims * Bank reconciliations and ledger reconciliations * Supporting supplier and customer queries * Assisting with VAT returns, accruals, prepayments and audit preparation (where applicable) Requirements * Previous experience within an accounts department * Experience in credit control and accounts payable * Strong attention to detail and organisational skills * Confident communicator, both written and verbal * Ideally AAT qualified or studying * Experience with SAP Business One advantageous What’s on Offer * £28k–£32k salary * Onsite role in Fowlmere * Early finish on Fridays * Strong pension contribution and private medical cover * Opportunity to develop within a respected and growing business
