What we are looking for

Proven experience of working directly with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties is essential for this role.

At Discovery Special Academy we use de-escalation strategies to calm and support our pupils with their emotions. However, there are times when it is necessary to positively handle pupils using our approved programme and the successful candidate will need to be physically fit and able to carry out this aspect of the role.
