NATIONAL SALES MANAGER - PLANT MACHINERY

FIELD BASED - SOUTHERN ENGLAND

£65, + BONUS + BENEFITS PACKAGE

CPL Recruitment are working with a highly respected plant machinery dealership to support their search for a high-performing National Sales Manager to take ownership of a specialist product range including loading shovels and material handlers, complemented by a broader construction equipment portfolio. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in growing market share across both regional and national accounts, backed by strong internal support teams and an established customer base within the industry.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Driving sales growth through proactive business development, networking, and prospecting
2. Identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities
3. Building and managing long-term relationships with key customers across the waste & recycling sector
4. Leveraging existing industry connections while opening new markets
5. Preparing and following up on customer quotations and proposals
6. Working closely with internal teams to deliver seamless customer experiences
7. Maintaining accurate CRM records and managing your pipeline effectively
8. Supporting product demonstrations to help win new business
9. Achieving and exceeding sales and profitability targets

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

10. Proven success in field-based sales within one or more of the following: Construction or plant equipmentHGV or heavy machineryWaste & recycling solutionsRelated products (attachments, shredders, bodies, etc.)
11. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to close high-value deals
12. Existing industry network (highly desirable)
13. Self-motivated, target-driven, and highly organised
14. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
15. Ability to work independently while staying aligned with wider business goals
