Locum Principal Therapist (Occupational Therapist) Grade 8 Independent Living Centre Early Help and Prevention Division

About the Role
As Principal Therapist, you will provide strong professional leadership within the Independent Living Centre. You will:
Offer expert guidance, coaching and mentoring to team managers, the Back Care Advisor and other professionals
Lead on complex assessments, multi-disciplinary working and the development of innovative, person-centred support solutions
Work closely with the Disabled Facilities Grant process and external partners
Provide specialist advice on moving and handling, risk management and safeguarding
Develop and deliver high-quality training to diverse audiences
Contribute to budget management, service development and strategic direction
Promote evidence-based practice and build strong multi-agency partnerships across health, social care, voluntary and independent sectors
This is a highly varied and influential position with significant autonomy. You will spend more than 50% of your time away from base, attending meetings, delivering training and working across North Lincolnshire.
Hours: Full time (37 hours per week)
Location: North Lincolnshire - Scunthorpe
(agile working with base at the Independent Living Centre)
What We’re Looking For
You will be a registered Occupational Therapist with the HCPC and bring:
Essential:
Significant post-qualification experience as an OT, including managing change and developing staff
Extensive experience of multi-agency partnership working
Proven ability in complex case management, budget oversight, data analysis and report writing
Experience developing and delivering training
Comprehensive knowledge of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, safeguarding and relevant legislation
Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
Ability to travel across North Lincolnshire (full driving licence and access to a vehicle essential)
A positive, resilient and flexible approach with a strong commitment to excellent customer care
Desirable:
Level 5 ILM management qualification
Experience of safeguarding investigations and robust risk management
