This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining safe, clean, and welcoming learning environments for pupils, staff, and visitors.
The Role
As a School Caretaker, you will be responsible for:
Overseeing the general maintenance, cleanliness, and security of the school site
Carrying out minor repairs, basic DIY tasks, and routine maintenance
Monitoring and supporting health & safety procedures, including fire safety systems and access control
Opening and locking the premises as required
Assisting with setting up rooms, equipment, and facilities for school events and activities
What We're Looking For
Previous caretaking, site management, or facilities experience is desirable
Strong practical skills (basic plumbing, carpentry, or electrical knowledge advantageous)
A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work independently
Reliability, professionalism, and a strong commitment to maintaining a safe school environment
Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
