Connect Appointments are recruiting a skilled CAD/CAM Operative to join our client's growing team in East Kilbride. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with technical expertise and a keen eye for detail to play a key role in the design and manufacturing process.

* A full-time permanent position
* Working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm
* Paid at £30,000 per annum - depending on experience

Responsibilities
* Creating and modifying 2D and 3D designs using CAD software
* Converting CAD designs into CAM programs for CNC machinery
* Testing and simulating designs to ensure accuracy and efficiency
* Maintain accurate documentation of designs and programs.
* Troubleshooting issues with designs, programming, or machinery
* Working closely with engineers and production teams to improve efficiency
* Working with other teams to implement any changes to drafts as soon as possible
* Conducting research - when required
Requirements
To be successful in this CAD/CAM Operative position, you\'ll have previous experience working in a CAD/CAM role, along with being proficient using software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
Other key skills
* A completed course in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) - beneficial
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Great communication skills, both written and verbal
