We have a new opportunity for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Local Government Team in Norwich.
As an Assistant Project Manager you will coordinate between various project team members to ensure that projects are delivered on time, to budget and to the agreed quality standard. You will support the development of project management plans, including project scope, fee estimates and risk analysis, and be responsible for weekly and monthly reporting.
Reporting into a Senior Project Manager, you will work as part of a collaborative project delivery team working across a range of significant projects across Norfolk. Your role will include linking up with colleagues located in other WSP teams in the UK and India.

This a varied role, with responsibilities including:
* Coordination between various project team members ensuring projects are delivered on
time, to budget and to the agreed quality standard.
* Developing project management plans including project scope, fee estimates, roles and responsibilities & risk analysis.
* Managing and attending progress meetings along with producing weekly/monthly reports to keep our client informed.
* Producing project control reports to meet client and business requirements.
* Ensuring invoicing and cash collection is undertaken in accordance with business
process and procedures.
* Prioritising client satisfaction through building and maintaining strong relationships with
key stakeholders.
* Carry out change control including value engineering and value management.
What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
* Experience in managing a range of project management activities, systems and processes.
* A good understanding of commercial and financial project management.
* Sound organisational skills and excellent communications skills.
* Experience in producing programmes using MS Project or similar software.
* Achieved, or working towards, professional status through the Association for Project Management or similar professional institution.
