The ideal candidate will have:
1. Recent experience of handling a case load
2. 8 years+ PQE or equivalent experience working in Clinical Negligence
3. Excellent organisational and time management skills
4. Excellent communication and drafting skills
5. Excellent IT skills especially in respect of Microsoft Office packages, proclaim and excel
6. Excellent attention to detail
7. Strong commercial awareness within a legal environment
8. Ability to work well with junior team members, providing coaching and mentoring
9. Flexible and willing to commit to achieving results and meeting deadlines.
10. Excellent Client Care Skills
The Senior Solicitor would play a key role in one of the Clinical Negligence teams by working on allocated cases, corresponding with customers and experts to ensure their cases are conducted in a proactive and commercially focused manner.
You would be joining a quality, experienced and growing team of Clinical Negligence lawyers several of whom hold accreditations such as from APIL, AvMA and Law Society Clinical Negligence Panel.

Main Responsibilities:
Accountable for:
30. Providing support, guidance and assistance to the team to deliver outstanding service to customers
31. Proactive and commercial case management and progression
32. Supporting the Team Leader in ensuring the delivery of the team’s financial performance KPIs
33. Effective and thorough time recording
Responsible for:
34. Discussing and agreeing case tactics and planning with the Team Leader and members of the team
35. Identifying cases which are ready for LOC, settlement and service within the team
36. Working with the team to ensure that relevant information is being collected and collated to enable the progression of the case
37. Management of a caseload in a proactive commercial manner
38. Co-ordinating the progression of cases with all internal and external parties
39. Drafting of legal documentation including LOC, letters of instruction
40. Negotiating settlement and the issuing and service of proceedings should it be required
41. Overseeing the documentation and correspondence produced by the team
42. Advising the team on any technical issues arising from their cases
