Senior Orthopaedic Practitioner

We are looking for a dynamic, organised, experienced leader to manage the Plaster room within our newly opened Orthopaedic Outpatient Department.
You will be expected to work alongside the MDT to support a variety of patients with their casting and brace needs.
You will be the point of escalation for complex patients being the experienced practitioner.
Job responsibilities
Identify and implement pathways to improve patient safety and experience.
Support with supply and ordering of equipment.
To ensure high standards of practice, infection control and health and safety is maintained at all times.
To ensure the effective running of outpatient clinics and in-servicing to inpatients requiring specialist Plaster Technician care.
To support and develop clinic staff.

Person Specification
Clinical experience
* Minimum 2 years experience
* Experience in managing staff
* Ability to work within a MDT
* Experience/exposure in managing budgets
* Experience in managing stock
Quality Improvement
* Involvement in Quality Improvement projects
* Willingness to develop service
Basic skills
* Good organisational skills
* Experience in supporting new staff
* Experience of managing own clinics
