Role and Setting
Opening in Spring 2026, Felden Hall School is a purpose built, brand new, state of the art school for up to 115 pupils. The school provides education for pupils aged 5 - 16 and caters to children with autism and social, emotional and mental health needs. This new opportunity serves Hemel Hempstead and the wider communities. Our aim is to ensure that every pupil has an outstanding educational experience with individual pupil progress and care at the heart of what is offered.
Responsibilities
As a Maths Teacher at Witherslack Group, you’ll be responsible for supporting children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. You’ll help them learn, develop their abilities and raise their self-esteem. You’ll need to be resilient and dedicated, but the huge small victories you achieve will be something you’re really proud of. You’ll be supported by in-house psychologists, teaching assistants and therapy professionals, and work in well-resourced school environments with ongoing guidance from your colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
* You’ll need previous teaching experience and have Qualified Teacher Status
* Demonstrated ability to relate your subject to each pupil and build great relationships with your class
* Your genuine passion for Maths and the impact your subject can have on young lives
* A can-do attitude and ability to work as part of a team
