A specialist secondary provision in Oldham is seeking a full-time Teaching Assistant to work with pupils with SEMH needs. This setting supports young people who may have struggled in mainstream education and require structured, relationship-led support.
What you’ll be doing:
* Providing 1:1 and small group support
* Supporting behaviour plans and de-escalation strategies
* Encouraging engagement in core subjects
* Working closely with pastoral and safeguarding teams
* Acting as a consistent adult presence in school
We’re looking for:
* Experience in SEMH, PRU, youth work or care
* Strong communication and professional boundaries
* A calm, proactive approach
* Commitment to a long-term role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
