We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) to join a welcoming and supportive secondary school in Oldham. This is a full‑time position starting immediately and continuing until July 2026, with the potential to become a permanent role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Teach Geography across KS3 and KS4
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
* Maintain strong classroom and behaviour management
* Contribute to a supportive and collaborative department
* Uphold high standards of teaching and learning
Ideal Candidate
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching History or Humanities in a secondary school setting
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Geography
* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
* A proactive, enthusiastic, and flexible approach
* A commitment to supporting student achievement and wellbeing
Requirements
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
