We have a full-time opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join us in the Specialist Medicine Division on McEntee, an 18-bedded purpose-built infectious diseases unit that specialises in the care of patients with transmissible diseases, including the management of patients with HIV/AIDS, TB, and imported infections such as Malaria. You will gain experience in caring for patients with complex needs who can be acutely unwell.

* Plan the delivery of patient care and take responsibility for implementing and evaluating the care provided.
* Use available electronic systems to provide care and ensure safety for our patients.
* Provide advice and education to patients, staff, and learners within the directorate as required.
* Prioritise your own workload and those working with you, such as learners and Healthcare Assistants.
* Develop communication networks across specialties and throughout the multidisciplinary team.
* Foster a mentoring environment in line with our teaching hospital.
* Carry out nursing care to the highest possible standard according to Trust Policies and Clinical Guidelines.
* Administer patient medication according to Trust Policy, including intravenous medication.
