We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Restaurant Manager for our sister restaurant Maccaruna, where we serve amazing pasta dishes and our award-winning gelato This unique dual-role position requires experience as a pasta chef alongside strong leadership skills, and a dedication to delivering an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities
Restaurant Management:
* Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
* Manage and train front-of-house and kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
* Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback, striving to exceed guest expectations.
* Monitor inventory, order supplies, and manage vendor relationships.
Pasta Chef Duties:
* Prepare, cook, and present high-quality pasta dishes according to established recipes and standards.
* Oversee the preparation and cooking of all pasta-related dishes, ensuring consistency and quality.
* Maintain an organized and clean kitchen, following food safety guidelines.
* Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, sharing knowledge and techniques related to pasta preparation.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager and a strong background in Italian cuisine would be preferential
* Exceptional culinary skills, particularly in pasta preparation and cooking.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
* Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the food service industry, including Food Safety Levels 2 and 3
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations.
* Passion for delivering an outstanding dining experience and a commitment to quality.
