This is a two‑year fixed‑term position, working three full days per week (for internal candidates a secondment will be arranged).

Job Description
* Plan and coordinate day‑to‑day work in collaboration with the Senior Clinical Research Facilitator.
* Maintain robust and accurate data systems for research studies.
* Provide data and analysis to support efficient governance management.
* Offer advice and training to clinical and non‑clinical Trust staff on governance protocols, data quality and collection.
* Support the development of governance strategies and action plans.
* Participate in multidisciplinary meetings across the Trust and liaise with trial centres, sponsors and investigators.
* Assist in the identification, registration and management of research studies, including use of the Siteline system.
* Ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act / GDPR and anonymise data where necessary.
* Record and report adverse events, and keep investigators, study coordinators and clinical teams informed of processes.
* Provide accurate, timely information and support to research staff and maintain documentation.
* Coordinate commercial studies under senior supervision, adhering to research governance protocols.
* Help update the Research and Innovation intranet and other online resources.
* Support the completion of annual progress reports and end‑of‑study reports.
* Maintain confidentiality, respect Trust CARE values and act in a professional manner at all times.
* Engage in continuous professional and personal development and contribute to performance reviews.
* Assist colleagues in absence and uphold good clinical practice standards throughout all work practices.
Person Specification
Education, Qualifications and Training
* Essential: NVQ level 4 (or equivalent) with GCSE grade 4/C or above in English and Maths; European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent IT skills; willingness to undertake further education.
* Desirable: RSA Typing Level 2‑3; degree level or equivalent professional qualification; Good Clinical Practice and EU Directive training.
Experience
* Essential: Work experience in a healthcare setting, team working, administration or clerical work, and working to tight deadlines under pressure.
* Desirable: Experience of research governance, delivering presentations, knowledge of NHS information systems, clinical audit experience, understanding of research trials and processes.
Skills
* Essential: Logical and organised approach, independent initiative, analytical aptitude for highly detailed work.
* Desirable: Report writing, time‑management, ability to manage projects with minimal supervision.
