About the role
We are seeking a skilled Full-Time Writer, Transcriptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for converting audio and video recordings into high-quality written documents with precision and accuracy. Your work will play a key role in delivering the exacting standards our clients expect.
Our Writers provide transcripts for a variety of high-profile, technical, and confidential meetings and events, including:
* Corporate communications & investor relations events
* Employee relations meetings
* Medical and pharmaceutical communication forums
* Governance meetings (board, management and committee meetings)
* Legal proceedings and formal investigations
* Regulatory meetings and public consultations
* Roundtable discussions and industry seminars.
LOCATION: Borough Office, client offices throughout the UK and beyond. Remote working flexibility is available where appropriate.
Key Responsibilities
* Transcribe spoken content from audio and video recordings with accuracy and attention to detail.
* Format transcripts according to company guidelines and quality standards.
* Edit and proofread transcripts for clarity, grammar, and style.
* Manage your workload efficiently to meet strict deadlines.
* Collaborate effectively with Sales, Project Management, and Editorial teams.
Requirements
* Exceptional listening skills and attention to detail.
* Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and style.
* Previous transcription experience preferred (will be assessed through a writing test).
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Reliable internet connection (a corporate laptop will be provided).
