Job Title: Facilities & Operations Officer – Group Resources Location: Chelmsford, CM2 5LB Salary: £30,000 - £32,000 car allowance Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Facilities & Operations Officer to join our Group Resources team. This pivotal role involves delivering high-quality support across our head office and branch network, managing maintenance, repairs, and estate management, including a Holiday Let portfolio. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring the smooth operation of all facilities and resources. This is a varied and dynamic role where no two days are the same, encompassing everything from managing vehicle fleets and internal relocations to supporting projects, lease renewals, property inspections, utilities, IT, telecommunications, and group insurance. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day facilities management across head office and branches. Manage maintenance, repairs, and estate management including Holiday Lets. Build and maintain relationships with external contractors, suppliers, and internal maintenance staff. Assist with staff recruitment, onboarding, and internal relocations. Manage the company vehicle fleet, including procurement, disposal, assignments, and inspections. Support lease renewals, property inspections, and tenancy management. Maintain and improve office processes, procedures, and space configurations. Coordinate telecommunications, IT, utilities, and insurance requirements. Ensure compliance with basic Health & Safety standards. Assist in projects as required, balancing multiple priorities efficiently. Person Specification: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Facilities Management, Office Management, or a related environment. Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects. Logical and creative thinker with a proactive, “can-do” attitude. Excellent interpersonal skills, able to adopt a firm but fair approach. Ability to work under pressure and remain flexible. Full driving licence and access to a vehicle. Working Hours: Monday-Thursday: 8:30am – 6:00pm Friday: 8:30am – 5:30pm Flexible approach required for occasional out-of-hours support.
