Hatfeild Hall, part of Normanton Golf Club, is seeking an experienced and creative Chef to lead and deliver high-quality catering services for weddings, private events, and weekday conferences held at our historic venue. This role is offered on a self-employed basis under a formal tender agreement with the Golf Club. However, a full-time employed position may be offered to an outstanding candidate.

Key Responsibilities -
Plan, design, and deliver bespoke menus for weddings, corporate events, and private functions.
Provide catering services for weekday conferences and scheduled events.
Ensure all menus are created within pre-agreed costing structures while maintaining high standards.
Lead all aspects of food preparation, presentation, and service.
Liaise with clients and the event coordination team to accommodate specific dietary needs and preferences.
Manage kitchen operations, including stock ordering, food hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
Recruit and manage additional kitchen or catering staff as required.
Comply with all relevant food safety and health regulations.
What We're Looking For-
Proven experience as a chef in weddings, events, or high-volume catering
Strong menu development and costing skills
Ability to work independently and manage all aspects of the kitchen
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Outstanding customer service and communication abilities
Formal culinary qualifications (preferred but not essential)
Flexible and committed, especially during peak wedding and event seasons
Contract Terms-
Self-employed basis under tender agreement with Wakefield Golf Club
Full-time employed option may be considered for the right individual
Access to professional kitchen and equipment at Hatfeild Hall
Events booked year-round, with peak activity during spring/summer months
