Payroll Manager
An established, fast‑growing organisation is seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Payroll Manager to take ownership of a multi‑country payroll function. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a hands‑on role, enjoys improving processes, and is keen to grow with the business.
Base Pay Range
£70,000.00 - £90,000.00 (based on your skills and experience)
Responsibilities
* Manage monthly payroll cycles across multiple companies, including bi‑weekly payroll for the US.
* Maintain accurate employee records and handle all starter/leaver processing.
* Calculate salary changes, commissions, bonuses, and pro‑rated pay.
* Prepare payroll reports and investigate any discrepancies prior to approval.
* Administer the company pension scheme, including uploads and updates.
* Process staff expenses and ensure correct VAT documentation.
* Process HMRC payroll submissions and payments.
Qualifications
* Strong UK payroll experience; exposure to international payroll is an advantage.
* Highly organised, accurate, and confident working independently.
* Excellent attention to detail and competency with data entry.
* Strong communication skills and a supportive approach.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including lookups and SUMIFs).
* Experience calculating commissions and bonuses.
* Experience with P11D submissions.
* Experience with Sage Payroll, Sage 50 Accounts, or Sage Intacct.
* Payroll qualifications (or currently studying).
* Experience within the recruitment industry.
