Offer description

This is a hands-on, varied role combining programme coordination, systems and process improvement, and organisational support. You’ll help the MCC Foundation deliver inclusive cricket programmes for young people across the UK, support partners and colleagues on the ground, and use digital tools and data to make the work more efficient and effective.

Location: Lord’s Cricket Ground, London (with flexible working)

Contract: Full-time

Reports to: Director of Programmes and Operations

About the role

As Programme Coordinator, you’ll sit at the heart of how the MCC Foundation delivers its work. You’ll work closely with the Programmes & Operations Team and provide administrative and organisational support to the Chief Executive. It’s a great opportunity for someone who is organised, proactive and tech-savvy, and who wants to build experience in a growing, purpose-driven organisation.

What you’ll do

Your responsibilities will include:

Supporting the coordination and administration of MCCF’s UK programmes, including the National Hub Programme and Competition, Coaching Scholarship Programme, Girls’ Hubs and the Barclays Knight-Stokes Cup. This will include working with Programme Managers on scheduling, logistics, communications, equipment, venues and events, and ensuring programme, attendance, safeguarding and partner records are accurate and up to date.

Systems, data and ways of working

Using and maintaining programme systems and digital tools (such as Monday.com, shared drives and databases); supporting the collection and quality-checking of monitoring and evaluation data; and contributing to reports, dashboards and updates that demonstrate impact. You’ll also help improve templates, workflows and processes to make programme administration more efficient.

Partners, safeguarding and compliance

Supporting relationships with delivery partners and helping to ensure safeguarding and compliance requirements are met, including maintaining records for DBS checks, training and risk assessments.

Executive and organisational support

Providing administrative and organisational support to the Chief Executive and wider senior team, including diary management, meeting preparation, travel arrangements, communications, and general office, governance and planning support.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and digitally confident, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate clearly with a wide range of people. We recognise that people develop skills and experience in different ways, and we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every requirement listed below.

* Strong administrative and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
* Experience using digital tools and platforms (e.g. Microsoft Office, project management or collaboration tools), with the willingness and support to learn new systems as needed.
* A professional, discreet and collaborative approach.
* Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion.
* An interest in cricket and/or sport for social impact.
* Experience in a charity, sports, education or youth-facing environment.
* Experience supporting programmes, events or senior leaders.
* Familiarity with CRM, monitoring and evaluation or programme management systems.

How you’ll work

You’re proactive and solution-focused, always looking for better ways of doing things, and comfortable working with systems, data and digital platforms to support effective decision-making and reporting. You collaborate well with others, value teamwork and build positive relationships, and adapt easily to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Above all, you’re values-driven and motivated by making a real difference through your work.

Our commitment to inclusion and accessibility

The MCC Foundation is committed to building a diverse and inclusive team and welcomes applications from people of all backgrounds, particularly those who are underrepresented in cricket and the charity sector.

We’re happy to discuss flexible working arrangements and any reasonable adjustments you may need during the recruitment process or in the role. We value lived experience alongside professional experience and believe that diverse perspectives make our work stronger.

What you’ll get from us

* A role in a growing, ambitious organisation where your work will make a real difference.
* A supportive, collaborative team that values initiative and learning.
* A unique office base at Lord’s Cricket Ground – the Home of Cricket.
* Opportunities to be involved in work across the UK and internationally.
* Flexible working, benefits package, access to the on-site gym at Lord’s, and more.

Additional information

* Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during the cricket season or key MCC Foundation events.
* Travel to regional programmes, Hub days and competitions will be expected.
* Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
* All appointments are subject to MCCF’s Safer Recruitment processes, including the completion of an enhanced DBS check.

How to apply

Please submit a CV and covering letter to careers@mccfoundation.org.uk before Friday 6 February at 5pm GMT. Interviews may be held during this time. If you require the application information in an alternative format or need support to apply, please let us know.
