Business Administrator - Medical Directorate
To ensure the maximum effectiveness of the Directorate by planning and managing diaries and providing proficient secretarial, office management, personal assistant, and support services. Responsible for delivering efficient, effective, and professional administrative support to the Trust. Undertakes a wide range of administrative tasks as directed, maintaining excellent customer service and work standards to uphold and enhance the reputation of the Administration Services team.
Main duties of the job
The Business Administrator will provide efficient, effective, and professional administrative support to a Director or group of Directors. Responsibilities include:
* Organizing the Directorate office daily operations
* Understanding the priorities of the Executive/Director and managing their diary accordingly
* Scheduling and following up on commitments made by the Executive/Director

Job responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the Directorate office daily operations
* Understanding and interpreting the priorities of the Executive/Director and managing their diary
* Scheduling and following up commitments
* Establishing and reviewing administrative protocols within the directorate
* Assisting in developing and maintaining policies and systems
* Representing the directorate and making decisions on delegated authority
* Managing delegated budgets
* Ensuring health and safety standards, including organizing training and reporting maintenance
* Participating in Trust-wide policy development
* Taking on responsibilities of Administration Coordinator/Manager and deputizing as needed
The Executive Assistant/PA will work independently with discretion, developing systems within broad guidance from the Executive/Director.

Knowledge/Experience
* Knowledge of current NHS performance agenda
* Knowledge of business case procedures
* Experience in analyzing, interpreting, and presenting information
* Experience managing or maintaining data management systems
