Fletcher Crane Architects are seeking a project architect to join our studio in Kingston upon Thames.
We are seeking a talented project architect with site delivery experience to join our friendly, London studio. The ideal candidate will possess significant expertise in a technical design delivery role within the construction sector.
This is a full-time position of 37.5 hours per week across five days.
Role and responsibilities:
* independently lead projects at planning and post planning work stages
* oversee the day-to-day management of projects on site
* interface and maintain relationships with the Main Contractor, Subcontractor and consultant team
* conduct site visits to review progress and inspect benchmarks, producing associated site observation reports
* review consultant and subcontractor technical submittals, drawings and schedules for various packages
* update technical drawing packages (Archicad) and specifications as required
* respond to RFIs and technical queries as required
* report to studio Directors on project matters
* manage BIM models and participate in coordination and resolution with consultant and subcontractor team
Skills and experience:
* ARB registered architect with 5 years post Part 3 experience
* proven experience of site delivery and handover RIBA stages 4 to 6
* strong knowledge of UK building regulations, planning policies, and sustainable design principles
* exceptional design, interpersonal and organisational skills, with an eye for detail and quality
* ability to read and write technical specifications to a high standard
* capability to work independently and as part of a team
* excellent communication skills
* proficient in Archicad (or, other similar BIM packages - training and support will be provided).

Working hours: 9.00 to 17.30
