We are seeking a motivated and effective Design & Technology Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Southampton area. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established Creative Design department, delivering high-quality teaching across a range of subjects including Design & Technology, Food Technology, Textiles and Art.
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons and supporting students of all abilities to achieve strong academic progress.

What You’ll Be Doing:
• Delivering high-quality Design & Technology lessons across KS3
• Teaching GCSE Food and Nutrition (essential)
• Supporting delivery of additional Creative Design subjects (e.g. Art, Textiles)
• Planning and delivering practical and theory-based lessons
• Monitoring student progress and implementing strategies to raise attainment
• Supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential
• Contributing to curriculum development and departmental initiatives
• Promoting a positive and engaging learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Strong subject knowledge in Design & Technology
• Ability to teach Food and Nutrition at GCSE level
• Willingness to contribute to other Creative subjects at KS3
• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
• Ability to inspire, motivate and challenge students
• A proactive, enthusiastic and reflective approach
• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for all students
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
