Overview
Are you ready to take the next step in your social work career? We are looking for a dynamic and committed Deputy Team Manager to help lead our Port Talbot Community Children\'s Team with energy, compassion, and purpose.
In this pivotal role, you will support the Team Manager in delivering a high-quality, responsive service to children and families across Port Talbot and Briton Ferry. You will work with children in need of care and support, those in need of protection, and looked-after children ensuring that every child receives the best possible outcomes in line with current legislation, policy, and best practice.
Responsibilities
* Providing professional leadership and guidance to Social Workers and Support Workers.
* Managing a small caseload of complex cases to stay connected to frontline practice.
* Supporting the development and delivery of our service to maintain excellence.
* Helping shape a culture of learning, support, and continuous improvement.
* Participating in a management team with a focus on quality practice, family support, and effective risk management.

Qualifications
* A recognised Social Work qualification.
* Registration with Social Care Wales.
* At least three years post-qualifying experience working with children and young people.
