Night worker required 10.30pm-9.30am for 2 or 3 nights each week.
Majestic Family Services is a successful, expanding Kent based Residential Parenting Assessment Centre service providing specialist parenting assessments for Local Authorities and the Courts. We have a vacancy for a night worker position at one of of centres situated in Ramsgate, which is registered as Outstanding with Ofsted.
The role of the night worker position is to provide safety, support, care, guidance to families who are placed with us for assessment during the hours of 10.30pm and 9.30am. This is a great base role for professionals who may wish to move in to social work, early years, nursing, or more therapy/psychology based roles. We are looking for dynamic and positive individuals to join our hard working team of professionals. An occupational requirement of this position is for the candidate to be female due to the sensitive nature of the work undertaken through the night as the successful candidate will be required to support vulnerable mothers.
* Starting pay of £13.40 per hour based on experience and qualifications

Person Specification
Essential
* Due to Ofsted Regulations, all employees must be over 21 years of age;
* Physically fit
* Resilient and motivated person
* Good communication skills, both verbal and written
* Calm, approachable manner, adaptable and non-judgemental
Desirable
* GCSE in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
* Level 4 Children, Young People and Families Practitioner, Diploma Level 3/4 in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
* Previous experience in working in a residential care setting, children's health services or with children and families
* Any relevant or transferrable skills, such as First Aid trained
* Ability to drive and hold a full driving licence
* Knowledge of Child and Adult Protection and Safeguarding
