Senior Planning Officer – Permanent, 37 hrs per week

Salary: £39,862 – £42,839 per annum, Scale PO3
We are looking for a Senior Planning Officer to support Telford & Wrekin’s Development Management Team, managing major, high‑profile planning applications and delivering ambitious projects across the borough.
Responsibilities
You will be the lead officer for major, high‑profile planning applications, including strategic sites in our new Local Plan, working within a holistic, co‑located team of expert consultees to deliver excellent planning outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
* Proven experience managing major planning applications and presenting cases to formal legal inquiries.
* Detailed knowledge of planning applications, Section 106 agreements and development management, including local, regional and national policies.
* Excellent time‑management skills.
* A passion for place‑making and sustainable development.
* Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and with stakeholders.
